Reference for loading specifications for hydrogen sulfide vertical cylinders in 20-foot containers

  1. Loading standards and cylinder specifications

During the export transportation of hydrogen sulfide gas, cylinders can be used that comply with DOT3AA standards. Taking the common 47L seamless cylinder as an example, its design pressure, material strength and other indicators all meet international dangerous goods transportation requirements.

2. Calculation of theoretical maximum loading capacity

Adopting a "shelf + bulk" mixed layout plan, the specific configuration is as follows:

Shelf area: 8 shelves, each containing 20 bottles, a total of 160 bottles.

Bulk area: 40 additional bottles placed along the longitudinal gap

Total loading capacity: 200 bottles

3. Verification of key safety indicators

4. Supplementary requirements for transportation operations

Hoisting requirements: Use 4-point hoisting (load-bearing at each point ≥ 4168KG), and the length of the spreader is ≥ 1.5 times the shelf width

Stacking restrictions: Stacking is prohibited to prevent cylinders from deforming under pressure.

Binding and reinforcement: Add 2 horizontal strapping straps to each shelf (total 4 straps/shelf), increasing the overturning resistance by 40,000N

5. Summary

This loading plan strictly follows the DOT3AA standard. Through scientific layout and multiple safety measures, it fully meets the requirements for earthquake resistance, operating space and structural strength while ensuring a maximum loading capacity of 200 bottles. During the transportation process, hoisting specifications and lashing requirements must be strictly implemented, and stacking behavior must be eliminated to ensure the safety of hydrogen sulfide gas transportation throughout the entire process.
