Argon-CO₂ mixed gas is the most widely used active shielding gas for MAG welding. Yingyue provides full-series custom blends with ±0.5% precision ratio control. Made from high-purity raw gases, our mixtures feature stable arc performance and low spatter. All batches come with standard COA and MSDS, supporting global export packaging.

Purity Grade & Impurity Control

All mixtures are strictly manufactured in accordance with GB/T 39255-2020 national standard, using high-purity raw gases (Ar ≥99.999%, CO₂ ≥99.995%) with rigorous batch testing:

1. General Welding Grade (Standard Ratios)

The mainstream grade for carbon steel and low alloy steel welding. Controlled impurities: Moisture ≤20ppm, Oxygen ≤30ppm, Total Hydrocarbons ≤10ppm. Ensures stable arc, moderate spatter and good weld formation, suitable for most manual and semi-automatic welding operations.

2. Precision Welding Grade

For automated welding lines and high-quality appearance requirements. Impurity control: Moisture ≤10ppm, Oxygen ≤15ppm, Total Hydrocarbons ≤5ppm. Features extremely low spatter rate, smooth weld surface and minimal post-weld cleaning, ideal for automotive and appliance manufacturing.

3. Special Material Grade (98%Ar+2%CO₂)

Designed for stainless steel and high-strength steel welding. Ultra-low CO₂ content prevents intergranular corrosion and maintains excellent weld toughness. Strictly controlled trace impurities ensure the mechanical and corrosion resistance properties of the weld joint.

Physical & Chemical Properties

Argon-CO₂ mixed gas combines the advantages of both components: argon provides excellent arc stability and low spatter, while carbon dioxide increases penetration depth and improves weld pool fluidity. Compared to pure CO₂, it significantly reduces spatter and improves weld appearance; compared to pure argon, it offers better penetration and lower cost.

The mixture is non-flammable, non-toxic and chemically stable under normal conditions. It is slightly heavier than air and may accumulate in low-lying areas, causing oxygen displacement and asphyxiation hazards in enclosed spaces.
