How to Purify Hydrogen Chloride Gas in Fluorine Chemical Industry

In the fluorine chemical industry, hydrogen chloride gas is often produced as a byproduct of various reactions. However, this byproduct hydrogen chloride typically contains impurities such as fluorine compounds, organic compounds and particulate matter, making it unsuitable for direct use in many applications.

Purifying hydrogen chloride gas from fluorine chemical processes requires specialized techniques to remove these impurities:

1. Fluorine Removal: Fluorine compounds are the most difficult impurities to remove. They can be removed by reaction with metal oxides or by adsorption on activated carbon impregnated with metal salts.

2. Organic Removal: Organic impurities can be removed by adsorption on activated carbon or by distillation.
