Physical & Chemical Properties
Argon is a typical monatomic inert noble gas with extremely stable chemical properties, incapable of chemical reaction with most substances under normal temperature and pressure. It is colorless, odorless, non-flammable and non-toxic, slightly heavier than air, with a density of 1.784 kg/m³ under standard conditions.
It has a boiling point of -185.9℃ and a melting point of -189.2℃, showing excellent low-temperature stability. Argon is slightly soluble in water and insoluble in most organic solvents. It features outstanding insulation and anti-oxidation performance, commonly used as inert shielding gas to isolate oxygen and moisture, effectively protecting materials from oxidation and denaturation.
