Nitric Oxide is highly unstable in air, rapidly reacting with oxygen to form toxic nitrogen dioxide (NO₂). It can act as both an oxidizing agent and a reducing agent. It is extremely toxic, inhalation can cause severe respiratory damage and methemoglobinemia.

We use standard steel cylinders with corrosion-resistant 316L stainless steel valves. All cylinders are filled with nitrogen cushion gas to prevent NO oxidation.
